Being Maself

Music & Fashion

Music and Fashion are both diffrent yet related forms of creative art. Emerged back as the 19th century both have continued to evovle through the years. Adapting with modern technologies which have accelerated the time of production and mass-produced to satify the huge  demanding market.
Nowadays the fashion industry is investing even more into the music industry and vice versa, musicians need fashion and style to sell their arts and portray a unique identity, also the fashion industry needs musician to sell it's craft, since the music industry is notably one of the biggest advertisers of fashion and style.
The relationship between these two have always been there and still continue to co-exist with no signs of cease.

Here are a few that have continue to inspire a great deal of fashion through their music:
Lady Gaga - Fame Monster
Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Music

The art or science of combining vocal or intrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of  form, harmony and expression of emotion.

The evolutionary origin of music began in the second half of the 19th century , and was much debated within music archaeology in the 20th century and still the origin of music is based on many suggestions.
Technological advances in the 20th century enabled composers to use electronic means of producing sound.
After the second world war , magnetic tape became available for the creation of music by recording sounds and then manipulating them in some way. When the source material was acoustical sounds from the evryday world, the term "Musique Concrete" was used, when the sounds were produced by electronic generators, it was designated "Electronic Music". After the 1950's the term electronic music came to be used for both types.
Between the 1975 and 1990 computer technology had come to place, making electronic music systems affordable and widely used. The personal computer had become a major tool of the electronic musicians equipment much superseding the analogue synthesizers.
21th century classic music is a diverse art form. Some elements of the previous century have been retained but there is a growing move towards  Electricticism, Post-Modernism and Polystylism, which merges elements of all style of music e.g Pop, Hip Hop, Rock, Jazz and others.
The internet as a related technology are important resources in this respect.

Fashion

A popular trend, especially in styles of dress, ornaments or behavior.
It's also a general term for a currently popular style or practice, especially in clothing, foot wear or accessories. Fashion references to anything that is the current trend in look and dress up of a person.

The fashion industry is a product of the modern age. Prior to the mid-19th century, most clothing was custom made. It was handmade for individuals, either as home production or on order from dressmakers and tailors. By the beginning of the 20th century with the rise of new technologies such as the sewing machine, the rise of global capitalism and the development of the factory system of production, and the proliferation of retail outlets such as department stores clothing had increasingly come to be mass-produced in standard sizes and sold at fixed prices. Although the fashion industry developed first in Europe and America, today it is an international and highly globalized industry, with clothing often designed in one country, manufactured in another, and sold world-wide.
The fashion industry consists of diffrent levels: the production of raw materials, principally fibres and textiles but also leather and fur; the production of fashion goods by designers, manufacturers, contractors, and others; retail sales; and various forms of advertising and promotion. These levels consist of many separate but interdependent sectors, all of which are devoted to the goal of satisfying consumer demand for apparel under conditions that enable participants in the industry to operate at a profit.
An important part of fashion is fashion journalism. Editorial critique, guidelines and commentary can be found in magazines, newspapers, on television, fashion websites, social networks and in fashion blogs.
